Equation for calculate how much water drinking daily

We used to say that every person needs to drink eight glasses of water a day, but in fact it is correct?

According to media reports, the US Institute of Medicine recommends that men drink 3 liters of water a day (13 cups) and women should drink 2.2 liters of water (9 cups).

But due to each person’s physical are different, so they also have a calculation method,  let  person calculate their own daily water consumption.

Equation as follows:

Weight (kg) X 30 (ml) ÷ 250 (ml) = recommended daily consumption (cup)
